The Canadian Armed forces should boycott Fiberals from using any Armed Forces properties or transportation from now on!

Since Turdeau and the Fiberals have attacked the Canadian Armed Forces with witch-hunts of fake sexual harassment, fake racism, denying veterans benefits and instead suggesting assisted suicide, refusing to re-supply our forces with needed equipment, Turdeau's plane should not be allowed on military properties any longer, the Canadian Armed forces should boycott Fiberals from using any Armed Forces properties or transportation from now on!

City of Gladiators Earthquake Shattered Fountain Flows After 2,000 Years

City of Gladiators Earthquake Shattered Fountain Flows After 2,000 Years

An ancient fountain that was destroyed in a 23 BC earthquake has been restored in Turkey's “City of Gladiators.' Now, the two millennia old water font is streaming drinkable water again, just as it did some 2,000-years ago.

Unearthing Turkey’s Ancient City Of Gladiators

The ancient city of Kibyra, or Cibyra Magna, is situated in the township of Gölhisar in the southwestern Burdur Province of Turkey. In ancient times it represented the capital city of an independent state known as Cibyratis, that lay just outside the north-western limits of the ancient province of Lycia, that thrived in Anatolia from 15-14th centuries BC, and as Lukka until 546 BC.

Strabo recorded Kibyra as having originally been settled by ‘Lydians,’ who were indigenous people in this region of Asia Minor. These people constructed over 100 stadiums and after the Roman general Lucius Licinius Murena defeated the ruler of Kibrya in 83 BC the city became part of the greater Roman province of Asia. Listed on the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List , ancient Kibyra is known as the “City of Gladiators.” Now, archaeologists have announced that “a colossal fountain” has been restored and that it will “flow with fresh water for the first time in 2,000 years.”

Piecing Together An Ancient Masterpiece

Dr. Sukru Ozudogru, an archaeologist at Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, recently told Anadolu Agency ( AA) that his team of archaeologists have spent the past four months collecting “150 original fragments from the ruins.” Now, they have successfully “pieced the architectural masterpiece back together.” The “round-planned fountain” measures 15.24 meters (50 ft) in diameter by 7.92 (26 ft) high and after being built it was used for more than 600 years.

A report in Daily Mail says the team of archaeologists have also restored the original water supply system from the spring, so that the fountain now flows with drinkable water “just the way it did 2,000 years ago.”

Dr. Ozudogru described the water from the restored fountain as “spouting from the mouths of lion and panther.” Not only do these two animals feature heavily in Roman mythology but they are two of the animals that gladiators fought in the arenas. Incidentally, it was after the discovery of the “10,400-person stadium” that hosted hundreds of gladiatorial fights that Kibyra became known as the “City of Gladiators.”

Rebuilding What Nature Attempted To Destroy

Blending both Roman and Byzantine architectural styles, during the 1000 years of the Roman empire the city became famous for its blood-thirsty gladiatorial contests. However, a 23 BC earthquake almost flattened Kiybra, and if it were not for diligent citizens in the aftermath rebuilding the giant fountain it would have been lost in time long ago.

The AA article said the restoration of the fountain and its two pools required “68 original architectural pieces and 24 imitation blocks produced from the original stone type.” Furthermore, it was observed that the original fountain featured one large circular pool and the second pool was added decades later. Dr. Ozudogru maintains that when the fountain was functional, some 2,000-years-ago, the two circular pools supplied potable water to four different parts of the city.

Sticking With The Original Plan

As far as aesthetics are concerned, fragmentary remains informed the researchers the original fountain was detailed with “elaborate statues of animals, huge columns and embossed friezes.” The archaeologists used two moldings taken from original sculptures that were both unearthed during recent excavations, and the originals are currently being exhibited in the Burdur Museum.

The researcher explained that in Roman times “Water was a mythological hero” that flowed into the two pools from the mouths of “lion and panther” statues. Relating these two animals to Roman mythology “ Heracles lay on a panther skin and Dionysus, the god of wine, wore a lion skin," according to the professor. However, both of these animals were fought by gladiators in the 10,400-person stadium in Kibrya, which Akkurnaz explained “was a building designed for an assortment of blood-soaked spectacles, including gladiator fights and wild animal fights”.

Pope Benedict XVI allowed himself to pass in to the Kingdom of Light

I am not a religious man but I am now a Spiritual man, I was baptized and raised French Roman Catholic but if I was religious I would be a Protestant perhaps but my true religion is Creativity and the Laws of Nature but I have come to believe that each religion is all based on the same energy and connection to a Higher Power like Father Nature. A guy I did stone masonry for and I made fun of him from what he described I have now experienced the Holy Spirit or Holy Trinity to my understanding, I have many Physics and scientific explanations for this but a lot I cannot explain. I made fun of religious people for decades and actually thought they were all insane and weak minded and I apologize and feel bad for that now but I am not going to endorse a one religion but understand it is all interpretations of the same thing, I like earth based religions for their symbolism and history that are not evil nor wrong, it is Nature or God, Good VS Evil means we are all Arch Angels or Devils Two sides of the same coin that can be flipped at anytime "metaphorically" to serve a propose to do a job as Nature or God deems it necessary for that time like now to cleans the earth and bring balance back to "The Force" as it were.

Pope Benedict XVI (Joseph Aloisius Ratzinger) was one of us and tried to bring Conservatism and Traditionalism back to Catholicism and even though I am not a Catholic we must respect the man and what he tried to do, he could not continue due to age and health but I believe he felt a great change and let himself slip into Gods hands knowing what he wanted was coming this New Year finally.

God Bless Joseph Aloisius Ratzinger and may he Rest In Peace!

Quebec Premier Wants All Immigrants To The Province To Be Francophone By 2026

I applaud Mr. Legault for many of his new laws to preserve Quebec-French-Canadian traditional cultural values! Merci beaucoup Monsieur Legault!

Quebec Premier François Legault has launched his second mandate by saying he wants all immigrants coming to the francophone province under economic immigration programs to already speak French.

In October, his Coalition Avenir Québec (CAQ) won a majority in the Quebec general election.

During that provincial election campaign, Legault made it clear he considers high levels of immigration to Quebec to pose a threat to the future of the French language in the province and the Quebecois cultural identity.

He told a business audience that raising immigration levels would be “suicidal” to the French language and insisted that Quebec must not accept substantially more than 50,000 new permanent residents annually.

Now, there’s a new twist to Legault’s views on immigration to La Belle Province.

In a speech to open the 43rd session of the National Assembly of Quebec, Legault made it clear that stopping the decline of the use of French in the province is one of his top priorities.

He sees francophone immigration as a vital to achieving that goal.

By 2026, all economic immigrants to Quebec will have to be francophone under Legault’s vision.

“Previous Parti Québécois and Liberal Party governments accepted that 50 per cent (of economic immigrants to Quebec) speak French,” Legault is reported as saying in French in the Le Soleil daily newspaper.

“We have succeeded in the economic immigration categories in increasing that to 80 per cent and we must reach 100 per cent.”

Montreal Is Becoming Less Francophone As Immigration Has Increased

In the past two decades, the proportion of people who speak French on the island of Montreal has dropped from 54 per cent to 48 per cent – and that concerns the Quebec premier.

The latest data from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) reveals that in the first nine months of this year, economic immigration accounted for almost 65.1 per cent of total immigration to Quebec.

Through the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), Caregiver, and Skilled Worker programs as well as the Entrepreneur, Investor and Self-Employed economic programs, Quebec welcomed 34,165 new permanent residents in the first nine months of 2022.

Although Quebec is well on track to receive 69,987 new permanent residents this year as it makes up for the drop in immigration during the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic, both the provincial immigration minister and Legault have made it clear they will not raise the provincial immigration target much above the current 50,000.

“It is up to Quebec to set its own targets for permanent immigration,” tweeted provincial Immigration Minister Christine Fréchette in French after the provincial election.

“The upper limit for Quebec is now 50,000 (new permanent residents) due to our capacity to welcome, provide French-language services and integrate them.”

Quebec Is Already Welcoming More Immigrants Per Capita Than Either The U.S. Or France

The francophone province’s immigration minister has maintained that Quebec is already welcoming proportionately more immigrants than do either the United States or France.

“Our position has remained the same: we need more control over immigration to protect the French language,” tweeted Fréchette.

In that tweet – retweeted by Legault without additional comment – the Quebec immigration minister wrote she would be continuing talks with federal Immigration Minister Sean Fraser.

In the 2023-2025 Immigration Levels Plan, Ottawa is targeting 465,000 new permanent residents in 2023, 485,000 new permanent residents in 2024 and 500,000 in 2025.

That’s a total of 1.45 million immigrants to Canada over the coming three years.

Under a provincial-federal agreement, Quebec’s annual share of new permanent residents is to be equal to its demographic clout within Canada. Since the province has 23 per cent of the country’s population, a national immigration target of 465,000 new permanent residents would mean Quebec could accept up to 106,950 new permanent residents next year.

By 2025, that number would rise to 115,000.

But Legault’s CAQ government is steadfast in its opposition to that level of immigration to the province because Quebec lacks the ability to integrate that many newcomers into the Quebecois society every year.

If Edward VIII hadn’t abdicated, who would be Monarch today?

As 2022 comes to an end, Royal Central takes a look back at our ten most popular posts of the year. Our sixth most read article was a feature by Lydia Starbuck looking at who would be monarch today had Edward VII not abdicated. Originally published on 15th December 2022, the full post can be read below.

We all love a royal ‘what if’ and perhaps one of the most intriguing of recent times revolves around the question of the king who renounced his throne for love. On December 11th 1936, 86 years ago, Edward VIII announced to the world that he was ending his reign to marry the woman he loved, Wallis Simpson. But what if Edward VIII hadn’t abdicated? Who would be Monarch now?

There are two roads to go down here. The first is that Edward VIII did give up the woman he loved. Instead of abdicating, the king followed the demands to end his relationship with Wallis and remain as Monarch. No marriage to Mrs Simpson would have left him free to wed someone else. Who is a matter of pure speculation. But a marriage might well have led to children meaning his direct line would rule. Possibly.

However, there was sufficient discontent within the ranks of his closest advisers about his approach to ruling to have caused concern even before his romance with Mrs Simpson became a constitutional issue. Reports of red boxes being left unread, of a manner that veered between domineering and disinterested has led to debate about whether the House of Windsor could have survived under his tenure at a time of huge social change.

There are also his political views to consider. Edward was known to have shown sympathy to some elements of the Nazi regime, enough so to have again raised concern among politicians. Hitler was later said to have talked about making Edward king again if the UK fell to his forces. The question remains – had Edward been king would the Monarchy and the country as we know it have survived?

It’s another historical what if. The remaining option, and the most likely of all the suppositions, is that Edward had gone ahead and married Mrs Simpson while refusing to give up his throne. There might have been a right royal row about her title but she would have been his wife. However, we know that the couple never had children together and that both of them were in their forties by the time they wed. While the pressure for a family would have been greater had he remained as king, the chances are that they would have had no children together.

And without a child of his own, Edward’s heir remained his brother, Bertie, the man we know as George VI. At the time of the Abdication, there was some discussion about passing the throne to another of their siblings given Bertie’s shyness and his stammer. But that was seen as too much of  a change. Had Edward remained on the Throne then Bertie would have remained first in line. We also know that the younger of these two brothers died in 1952, twenty years before Edward, meaning the role of heir would have passed to Bertie’s daughter, Elizabeth.

Therefore, Elizabeth II would have still become Queen, even if Edward VIII hadn’t abdicated. Obviously, this isn’t an exact science. The Butterfly Effect comes to mind – who knows what might have happened if things had worked out differently for Edward & Wallis.

But the most likely answer to the question of who would rule had Edward never abdicated? Right now, the British Monarch would still be King Charles III.
